After killing his 70-year-old father, the accused carried the severed head to the police station and surrendered himself, a senior officer instructed PTI. The deceased was recognized as Baidhar Singh.
He stated, “The person beheaded his 70-year-old father with a pointy weapon and surrendered at Chandua Police Station together with the severed head. His mom fled the spot. The homicide befell following a heated trade of phrases between the accused and his dad and mom.”

“The homicide occurred over a petty concern. The accused grew to become indignant when his father refused to pay Rs 10 for ‘gutkha,’ a tobacco product,” Baripada SDPO Pravat Mallick stated.
