Taking to Instagram in a current interview with a web page recognized as The Dodo, Jason Breen shared the now-viral video and recounted the expertise.
“All I bear in mind is trying up, and the entire sky was blocked out. I used to be trapped underwater for about 14 seconds, and there was nothing I might do. I used to be attempting to work out how I used to be going to get out of it. My leash, which I used to be tangled in, broke—permitting me to come back up and get air. I used to be in all probability one or two seconds away from tapping out and simply saying, ‘I’m gone.’”
He continued, “I used to be telling my two mates that I used to be out with, ‘You understand, I’ve simply been hit by a whale,’ they usually have been similar to, ‘Yeah, certain. No matter.’ Then I packed up my stuff and went residence. That’s when my telephone began going off. A man having his morning espresso had caught the incident on digital camera and posted it on social media, asking, ‘Can anybody inform me if he’s alive?’”
He added, “From there, it type of took off, and my two mates completely rotated and mentioned, ‘Jeez, sorry.’”
The video interview, recorded only a few days in the past in 2025, was captioned, “He went residence and couldn’t cease shaking — till he discovered somebody had really recorded the entire thing.” The clip is now going viral, with the web rallying round Jason Breen. Many customers are expressing their aid, with feedback like, “Thank God he survived.”
