She shared, “Mr. Sanjay Leela Bhansali, after watching Gadar, wrote a very lovely letter, a complimentary letter to me. And once I had a gathering with him, he mentioned, ‘Ameesha, it’s best to retire now.’ I mentioned, ‘Why?’ He mentioned, ‘Since you’ve already achieved in two movies what most individuals don’t obtain of their total profession. As soon as in a lifetime, a Mughal-e-Azam, a Mom India, a Pakeezah, a Sholay will get made. You had it in your second movie.
